I have a greenhouse (nearly)

After weeks of planning, fetching materials, replanning, selling the family jewels, it has all come together and....

Ta da!

I have the soil to sift for the raised bed that goes along the back wall, a shelf to put up, the paving in front of the doors, and the minor job of creating a bed around the outside. Oh, and then some seedlings growing appreciatively next spring.

The windows, floor, half of the roof and various bits of wood are out of skips, with permission. Door handles, etc are 2nd hand. The structural timber and one roof sheet are new, total purchased materials approx 250€.

I had help from a handyman but it is my design and half my work. I'm pleased as punch.

My bit worry was how it would hold up in the wind, we had 50kmph winds yesterday and it felt solid as a rock.

Now, I just need to work out what to do about these...

That’s fantastic! I’m jealous of the skip finds!
I’ve no idea what I’m doing.

Looks really good.  I love it when old windows and doors are reused like this.
Based in Sussex, I garden to encourage as many birds to my garden as possible.
  • Thank you  :). I'm fortunate there is a windows company 10 minutes away that is only too pleased for people to take old windows and doors that they would otherwise have to pay to have taken away. I hit lucky that they had these, and all in pairs so the other side is exactly the same. There is also a roofing company that has a wood skip, again help yourself suits them well.

Paving done. Raised bed tomorrow. My arthritic hands hate me.
