Osmanthus

I noticed yesterday that the leaves on my Osmanthus are being eaten. I attach a photo. It is a well established shrub and this hasnt happened before. My next door neighbour has a Laurel hedge that has been eaten by Vine Weevil and this hedge is near the Osmanthus. I dont think it is but would appreciate help in identifying the problem

Vine weevil. Adults - it's the grubs that do the most damage to plants as they eat through roots.
If the shrub is otherwise healthy, it'll be ok, and is largely aesthetic.  :)
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
