Cytisus battandieri

My new 2 litre potted plant was ravaged by snails in September. The 3 main stems I cut to the ground after I saw the snails' handiwork 🙄 ... There has been no growth since. Did I do the wrong thing please? Thankyou!

It’s deciduous so shutting down for the winter. TBH I wouldn’t have worried about snail damage in the autumn.

🤞 there’ll he new growth in the spring … IIRC it’s usually  quite late starting  into growth.
Hope its got a sheltered spot for the winter.

Looking forward to seeing a happy plant next summer … it’s on of my favourites 😊

  • Thanks @Dovefromabove ☺️ it is a glorious plant with those tactile velvety leaves. I hope I can report back some positive news next year!
