Creeping Phlox. Problem or just impatient?

Hello!

I acquired some little pots of creeping phlox start of September, and planted them out in a narrow border by my greenhouse. Since then they have done nothing other than go  little brown. Soil always seems amply moist. I think GW or RHS site said that planting out in September was OK.. Do you think anything is up, or am I being impatient?

Many thanks!

They don't like being in wet soil long term,  so you need to be sure they have really good drainage. They aren't like the herbaceous phloxes  - they're really alpine plants.

They won't suddenly grow bigger - it takes a good while for that to happen  ;)
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
  • Ah - I wasn't comparing like for like! Well, I guess they are not dead, so that is an advantage. Fair point - makes sense. I'll check drainage and work on my patience!

    Thank you !  :)
