Blooming apple tree

Hello, I have an apple tree growing very slowly, espalier style. Trying to encourage growth, I was advised to nip all the blossom off in Spring. Didn't seem to work terribly well and now it has started blooming again! Have I confused it, or is this just another sign of global warming? Presumably I should nip these off too? Lest I get apples in February!
Thanks

This is an odd year and some plants are flowering out of season
… but it’s as well to be aware that flowering and fruiting can be a struggling plant’s attempt to reproduce before it dies … is there a chance that your tree may have gone short of  water earlier in the year?

I don't think so, I have consciously kept it well fed and watered.

I noticed a few days ago new growth and flowers opening on one of my blueberries, there are now plenty of flowers open - crazy!
Maybe blueberry pie for Christmas :)

Plants often get confused by autumn conditions as they are so similar in light and temps to spring conditions

I often see a few blossoms on apple trees this time of year. Nothing to worry about IMO.

We planted a Cox OP, a Braeburn, a Bramley and a crab apple last autumn.   They've been watered deeply but not frequently thru the drought this summer and seemed OK.  We've removed this year's fruits to reduce stress but I notice today that the Braeburn is in full blossom.  Not just a few flowers.
