    My comments were only based on my experiences of the plant the OP asked about, which were that having tolerated it initially (it was here when I got here), it was pretty invasive and fairly difficult to get rid of. It may not behave the same elsewhere (I'm in dry SE London).

    It may depend on the soil it is growing in never a problem here.
    I have worked as a Gardener for 24 years. My latest garden is a new build garden on heavy clay.

    Hardly ever see it here - any type. Not sure if people just don't buy it, or because it doesn't spread readily so it's easy to miss when walking past gardens.
    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

    Perhaps that is the answer not a problem in heavy more retentive soils. I like it because it isn't commonly seen here.
