Scabiosa Perfecta are in a pot ( with a few other strays ) waiting to go in the border . Should I plant now or protect over winter and wait till spring. Thanks
I would keep them in the pot until spring, but I would remove the forget-me-nots, or they'll grow rapidly in early spring and swamp everything else in there.
Doncaster, South Yorkshire. Soil type: sandy, well-drained
I think that although they are hardy I would grow them on a bit more and plant out in spring when they are a bit bigger and stronger. Depends where you are and your soil type. If you have heavy soil I would definitely leave until spring.
I think it is Scabious caucasica so perennial? And the one you have is the Perfecta series? I looked it up and it looks lovely, very pure white, pretty.
