Hanging baskets

Hi folks,

How are we all?

Just leaving a quick question.

I'm just about to empty my summer baskets as was wondering what people where doing or putting in there baskets?

I cleared out my window box at the end of August and planted some cyclamen that have flowered continuously. I deadhead the flowers at least once a week.

To add a bit of height I added a cleome seedling that has grown rather more than I expected 😁

Me too. Cyclamen and violas. I'm hoping they will get me through much of the winter.

  • The autumn flowering cyclamen along with Oxalis and some miniature daffs should provide some interest from now until late Spring.
All depends of course on the location and aspect and the size of your baskets.  And the weather too of course  ;)

My bedding cyclamen died in the winter, they aren't very hardy. I use violas and pansies.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
