Foxglove and vegs

I have moved to a house where foxglove has been grown everywhere in the garden. I'm planning to put raised beds for vegs, but as some seeds of foxglove spread when removing it I was wondering if it will be safe to just build the raised beds on the lawn and put new soil on top or if there's a risk that possible foxglove seeds will germinate underneath and "contaminate" the edible plants I'll be growing. Any suggestions on how to proceed? Thanks

Foxgloves (or any other plant) can't contaminate anything in that way. Its quite safe to grow right next to something you want to eat.
I would only be careful if I intended to grow small salad leaves and it would be possible to mistake a baby foxglove for a lettuce leaf.

Foxgloves grow all over my garden too, including in the veg patch … they’re not a problem … just don’t eat them (they’re pretty easily identifiable).

Remember they’re not as toxic as rhubarb leaves and the fruits of potatoes. 😊
