Bearded iris problems

I have just been removing dead material and this came away.. can I replant?.. any advice greatly appreciated

    Yes - trim the leaves back to about 6" then pot it up with the rhizome about half-way into the compost then keep it somewhere away from the worst of the winter weather.
    It'll slowly grow roots and should be OK to plant out next year
