Help identifying brand of secateurs

Can someone please help?

Some months ago I found a rusty old pair of secateurs in the local park I was walking around.  A bit of an odd find but I kept hold of them.

I cleaned them up, sharpened them and to my amazement they have turned out to be the best pair of secateurs I have ever used.  They are japanese by the looks of them but I wanted to identify the make so I can loook at getting some more.  Below are a couple of pictures from the blade:

Thanks all,
Paul

If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.

I would say definitely Niwaki. Compare the script that looks like a number 4

    They are an excellent brand.
  • Ha ha..   I know - like I said the best I ever used.  The best I normally stretch to are some generic £15 pairs and now I am wondering how I ever managed.  Still £40 or £100+ (pro) is a lot of money for a pair of snips so I will nurture them and feel lucky that I had a bit of good fortune for a change :-)

Niwaki do a repair service, temporarily suspended, for tools we have supplied and not for tools found in the long grass.

For half the Niwaki price I found this company on line

It seems so cheap, I would proceed with caution.

I can't help thinking that some poor council gardener or volunteer is missing those (although as they were rusty when you found them, I suppose they could have been  lost a while earlier).

I play with plants and soil and sometimes it's successful
