Anyone here involved in designing, running or caring for a SuDS system / rain garden on public land?

SuDS

"Sustainable drainage systems (SuDS) are drainage solutions that provide an alternative to the direct channelling of surface water through networks of pipes and sewers to nearby watercourses."

I would be interested to hear from people who have been involved. One of my local rain gardens has been running for ten years, is managed by volunteers and is having problems. Thanks

I know that a firm called Robert Bray associates did a lot of SuDs work on the Sheffield Grey to Green scheme, I don't know whether they might be able to help. I think they were also heavily involved in the White Hart Lane scheme.

Robert Bray was the company that designed our local rain garden.

What is it you want to achieve Fire.

It's not really about achieving, more to find out how other people's SuDS are working in practice, some years down the line since they were installed. What kind of teams run them, how is project continuity managed, is there a process of design review and adaptation, have the original designs hit unforseen problems, how is their council involved, how does their ongoing funding work - that kind of thing.

Zac Tudor (has Instagram account) would probably be able to give you a few pointers. He designed the Sheffield Grey to Green scheme (with Nigel) and oversaw the maintenance of it (weeding etc).
