, everything I have read suggests that hose end diluters do not work, they do not evenly dilute the feed.

you can purchase hose end dilutors that work on suction. But most on here would cough at the price many times over.
In-line dilutor all day long. Or you could even make one they are not that complicated.
I have an in-line dilutor a very old vitax one made out of brass it will see me out and still be going while I bring up the roses😎
I never knew retirement would be so busy.

I didn't know it was possible for gardening to get this complex.
I chuck on some manure and garden compost on the veg beds every year or so.
That's it.

I use compost for mulching and BFB to throw over the veg garden in the spring. Rose fertiliser for the roses. Hardly bother with the flower borders, apart from the mulch.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
