I took some cuttings of Verbena Bonariensis the same weekend as Monty did on GW. There are now roots showing out of the bottom of the pots (about 5 per pot). Am l better off potting them up separately now, or leaving them "as is" until after the Winter ?
I'd separate them and pot up individually. I did some about 6 weeks ago, which is a bit late here, but they're in the house. The ones which were potted on are doing ok though. I expect if you have enough warmth in a greenhouse they'd be fine there. I usually do cuttings in summer so that they have a decent amount of time to establish and grow before it's too cold/wet for them. At that stage they go in the growhouse, or right against a wall to get some cover over winter. They stay inside over winter here if they're small though, as they don't survive readily outdoors without adequate protection.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
They should be ok where you are @AnniD, if they can be kept dry enough. Too difficult to keep them dry here over winter, even under cover - the damp gets into them. A bigger plant is easier to manage though. Dry cold is also far easier for that kind of plant than wet cold. I've got a couple in pots which are a good size, so they'll go in the wee greenhouse and will hopefully be all right for next year

I'll tip them out later today and see how good they are. Must admit l didn't expect them to take quite so quickly, but it has been very mild.
