moving a eucalyptus in October

    I agree, @Plantminded, best to let them grow for a few years before you start coppicing.

    I believe there is a dwarf form of E.gunii now available.

    I don't think they are a problem, as long as you ensure they are cut back every year.
    I also have one in a plastic bucket which I have had the same amount of time and is still fine.
    I would move it next Spring, after cutting it back."

    thanks punkdoc- the eucalyptus is 2 m from the house and probably a lot closer than that to drainage. Id rather not move it but its looking like it may be the best thing to do, do you think? where are your eucalyptus ?

    I have 1 close to the house, but because I cut it to the ground each year, I don’t worry too much, but maybe I should.
