Victoria Plum

I did post my concerns about my 3 year old tree in maybe late June, I had gone on holiday and didn't expect the weather to be so dry, on my return the leaves were all yellow, I posted this, and everyone said lack of water and feed, I watered it and fed it. I did get a load of lovely plums, but then this happened, I think it is dead? I am approaching my 70th and I doubt I will raise another, does anyone think it could recover, or is it the end.

  • It is amazing how thing recover as my my wife keeps pointing out as I am about to give them the chop and they do. I would give it another year and prune in June cutting back any dead branches if there are any.

Leaves are starting to drop off plums now anyway. I would see how it does in Spring.  Is it in a pot? It would do better in the ground.
