Help with Cerimán/Monstera Deliciosa, leaf getting yellow.

Hi everybody.

I have this Monstera Deliciosa since 2 months, in the folllowing picture it is how the plant has arrived to my home.

Now, one leaf is getting yellow and hard or "crunchy".

Could someone help with opinions about possible causes.

Next sunday I will transplant it to a bigger pot.

Thanks!!!

That leaf had already started going yellow when you got the plant... once they start going yellow there's usually no stopping it. The plant has made up it's mind that it doesn't want to support that leaf any more. Looks like it's a juvenile leaf, now surplus to requirements.

... I wouldn't be in a rush to move it to a bigger pot. They can be left until the pot is practically bursting at the seams! Perhaps so soon after getting it, just let it settle in and acclimatise without the shock of repotting.

I agree, it's normal for them to lose some lower leaves from time to time. As long as the new leaves are healthy, there's nothing to worry about.

Thanks for your answer too, at the time, all other leaves are healthy.
