    I find that in the way of wiping down counters transform a kitchen, a quick sweep transforms a garden. Remove any dead pots to the dumping ground behind the shed. Dead-head everything dead (if you don't want to keep seeds). This is as about as much I would do if VIPs are coming over

    Not in the garden as such but a new house nearby that wouldn't sell had a huge bow on it costing 3k it must have  detracted from the poor workmanship and the tiny North facing garden because it has sold.
    The bow has now moved onto another house.
    I have worked as a Gardener for 24 years. My latest garden is a new build garden on heavy clay.
