Re-purpose Leylandii

I have 20 ft Leylandii and I will be chopping down to fence height, now birdies have gone, just wondering is there anyway you can replant a 5ft “cutting” so I can extend my privacy

    What do you mean by replanting a cutting? Do you mean a bit of leylandii?
    That won't work unfortunately.
    You can take cuttings, as that's how they're propagated, but it would need to be from viable material, at the right time, and then you'd have to wait a while for them to be big enough to plant. I've never done it, but I expect you can find info online.  :)
    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

    Yes, you can take Leylandii cuttings,  takes a few years but easy to root.  You cannot stick a 5’ bit in the ground to root.
