Black bamboos

i have had a black bamboo for nearly 20years and has looke fantastic but this spring/summer it has produced what looks like brown flowers on it and it doesnt look happy what can i do?

    Most Bamboos die after flowering, although you might get seedlings once the flowers die.

    One of our bamboos has flowered this year and we will have to wait and see what now happens. It was a magnificent specimen.
