Last year I grew some love lies bleeding and the 2nd pic has a sort-of resemblance.
I'm guessing the 1st pic is from a different plant

I don't know the first one but the second one looks like a weed that I can't remember the name of.

Yes, I can. Amaranthus Retroflexus, or more simply, Pigweed. It is in the same family as Love lies Bleeding.
