Sparrowhawk (?) just caught its breakfst on my lawn.

I'm not sure what it killed but it's been ripping it apart for a while now..
It's usually a blackbird :(

Great to catch a pic @Pete.8 . They all have to eat.

    It was a messy eater...
It sat there for about 45 minutes eating its catch, then flew off with the carcass

😁 I will, but it'll be the lawn mower that collects the feathers

Fabulous photo @Pete.8. Sparrow hawks do leave a lot of feathery mess behind from their prey, don’t they, but at least they eat what they kill. I’m sure they’d eat the feathers, too, if they could, but of course, they can’t.
