Is this a leaf of a poppy strain?

I have multiple plants with leaves like this, coming up in my back yard in southern Australia.

I'm not sure if they are weeds or poppies of some kind

Thanks!

I'd like to see a photo of the plant, a single leaf can be deceptive

@auspunt01389 With 250 species of poppy I am not sure you will get an ID. It could be a poppy yes and some do set lots of seed. Have you seen them growing locally, colour of flower might help. Have you dug one up is it a tap root?
Sap is yellow and an irritant.
