That looks a possibility although I do not see a variety with such red leaf stems. I had to move it for the pond reworking just as it was coming into flower so I do not know the final form or colour of the flower.
Thanks for reorienting the picture. I reduced it in size but obviously not quite enough.
Is it possible you have two plants there? The veining and leaf shape are different. The one with the red midrib looks to me like a dock leaf but no idea what the other one is. Could we have more pictures?
I now think the plant coming up to flower is a Petasites, or Butterbur, but not sure why it is flowering now. The other with the red veins as I say could be a dock.
That is a good spot Asarum! It is a dock coming up within the stems of the other plant. I had to move it for my pond works and it is not in best health as the picture below shows. The plant does look like a Petasites Hybridus that has got its seasons mixed up.
It will need to be moved again so fingers crossed that it will survive.
