Brown spots on rubber plant

Hello,

The edges of the leaves on our rubber plant are going yellow/brown. As you’ll see in the pictures, some of the leaves also have small brown spots on the edges. We were wondering if anyone has encountered this problem before.

It’s by a window that faces west so it gets a lot of sunlight. We water it around once every two weeks / whenever the soil gets dry, so hopefully it’s not a case of over-watering. We watered it twice last week as it was so hot.

Any thoughts / advice would be appreciated! Many thanks

Hello @emmasjing67545  and welcome to the forum 😊
I’m wondering if it’s getting too much sun … most tropical plants prefer filtered light at the most.

  • I agree with @Dovefromabove sun and dry atmosphere - they are naturally tropical trees and to get the best out of them, you will need to try and replicate their habitat as much as possible.

Thanks so much @Dovefromabovephilippasmith2 for your suggestions - I will try moving it out of the direct sunlight and see if that helps. Have a great weekend!
  • Fingers crossed @emmasjing67545 🤞
