we live in the n west since this good weather i havent seen hardly seen any bees in our garden and we have plenty of bee friendly flowers

  • Bees can be very fickle! They will abandon our carefully planned offerings of pollen and nectar as soon as the ivy is in flower. Also the very hot weather will have dried up some nectar rich plants.  They will be back!

Don't let the weather fool you. It's late in the season now and many bumblebee nests will have finished with just the new queens left fattening up for the winter. Most solitary bees will have finished their nests too and died shortly after. All I'm seeing at the moment is the odd queen, honey bees and Common Carder bees which seem to have a longer nesting period than most bumbles.
If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.
  • Still plenty of Honey's about here ............and 1 Bumble .  Always had the ground dwelling  ( little grey/white jobs ) in the past few years but haven't seen them this year.

Still quite a few here - mostly the buff tailed ones and the little tawny/ginger ones whose name I never know - Carder bee? More hoverflies now than bees probably, although there's plenty of flowering plants for them all to visit. The Ligularia is always a favourite, but it's just finished flowering in the last day or two.
The unusually hot weather here through the summer and into autumn, has made it easier for them I expect. Not as windy as normal either.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
  • Still a lot of bees around us. but very few butterflies today.

Think we’ve got all the butterflies … the air’s  been full of them over the last few days 😊 mainly small whites and meadow browns … and an occasional small blue.
