Foliage, but not fruit

  • If you have a strong constitution and lots of time, you could watch my series I began last year on growing predominantly tomatoes(with a few other bits thrown in). I began mid season last year, ill health brought about the late start, it is very much aimed at the newer gardener, I'm no expert, this was made for my own amusement during my recovery from Cancer surgery. Hope it helps.

  • Thanks, everyone, for your thoughts. No definitive answers (are there ever in life!) but some things to think about. Clearly I need to be more careful about using nettle fertilizer on tomatoes - I was just excited about being able to use my own greenhouse and my own nettle fertilizer for the first time, and used it everywhere.

There are other questions in my mind now, but I'll post them separately, rather than extending this thread with tangential posts and questions!

Thanks, also, Burnie for your link.... I just watched the first of your videos....I'm so pleased you've given me a good justification for buying more tiramisu.
  • you are fertilizing them with too much nitrogen. if want crop hit them with high phosphorus fertilizer.

@andrewZyBdS1cT You made me smile about getting over excited - I suspect we've all been guilty of that at some stage  :D
At least you know which fertiliser to use now so better luck for next year.
