Magnolia Mystery

Lizzie27Lizzie27 Posts: 12,494
Overnight it seems this branch of my Magnolia Stella  has turned yellow/orange and I can't see any damage to the branch itself. The shrub faces east/south and it reached 32c yesterday for the 2nd day running. Heat damage?

Possibly just the start of autumn. I don't know the variety "Stella" but if it's a type of M. stellata, they're deciduous.

@JennyJ, yes, you're right, I did mean stellata and mine is deciduous. I find it strange though that the rest of the bush is green as usual and only that one branch has turned yellow/orange. Very strange!
