I have 3 honka black above. They are slowing down now and I just dead headed them earlier hence lack of blooms right now. Loads of buds though 😃. There are a few nibbles from slugs, but that’s hard to avoid. I start them in B+Q buckets with holes drilled, once big enough I plant them out, then I dig them up in winter and store them back in the buckets with dry compost in the shed.
When you're having your morning cuppa and surveying the slug ridden midden that was once your vision of loveliness, do you wonder what became of you that you are now no smarter than a slug? Asking for a friend.

Don't plant obvious slug fodder is my thinking @plant pauper! I'm lucky not to have many slugs in my garden after removing all Lupins and two huge beds of Bergenias when I moved here - slug heaven! I tend to choose plants with slug resistant qualities and any known victims are elevated on upturned pots or totally banished!
Thanks everyone! Lots of inspiration there! I’ll definitely try some of the Bishop varieties, David Howard seems to be a classic too. I looked up Neon Splendour, it looks marvellous, I’ll try it if I can find it next year!
