Can you recommend a perennial double white aster?

Any thoughts please?

This is one that might fit the bill
    Aster novi-belgii 'White Ladies'.

@Fire I would go for one of the Novae Angliae's. Some are more 'blousey' than other too. I prefer A Divaricatus but that is for shade. I have bought Asters from Claire Austin before but never a white. You have got me looking now just seen Symphyotrichum Anja's Choice but it does have a hint of pink. Think that is one for the notebook.
Do you have any thoughts on height?

I have a few varieties here and there in my garden.
I bought 3 in a sale a few years ago including a white - as far as I can remember they were Aster novi-belgii type- they don't flop about as much as Little Carlow (my fave!).
But if I remember to Chelsea chop the Little Carlow they don't flop anything like as much.

They're a bit taller this year. I'd guess they'll be in flower in a couple of weeks

Thank you for your thoughts everyone.

@Pete.8  your white one pictured is what I was thinking of. I am looking for something quite double (unusually for me). I guess all Chinas are annuals in the UK?

Height is good. I am hoping to plant it in white beds with gaura, thalictrum, phlox, hollyhocks and the like - adding in more autumn succession.

    Best wishes.

@Fire I have aster novi-belgii snow cushion, which has only now started flowering. From a 9cm plant in spring last year, it has grown to be a huge monster 5ftx2ft and has 100s of buds. I can share a photo with you in the evening when I'm home. Edited to add: I don't think mine is a double though.

We visited Old Court Nursery (Picton) some years ago, and l'm sure that they had a couple of white doubles in the garden. I was a bit distracted as Carol Klein was filming there that day, but l'm sure it was there that l saw them.
Just out of curiosity l looked at their website as they do mail order (although l think you'll have to wait until next year now). They have several to choose from, but l did like the look of this one.

Not a double, but Symphyotrichum 'Herbstschnee' is a nice tall white.

I was rather taken with this one at Bridgewater recently. For a silver-leaved plant it seemed to be coping well with heavy soil and all that Manchester rain. An impressive ball of snow - the label-hunting gap was temporary and I carefully brushed it back into order afterwards!
