Japanese Anenome “Frilly Knickers”

  • I bought the Frilly Knickers from Waitrose Garden on line. The planter  they’re in is huge & filled with soil not compost & drainage is good

    I have vine weevil here, but J. anems have never been affected. I don't have them in pots though, and if I get a seedling in an unsuitable spot, I just move it and re plant. They can take a little while to get going, but it would be the same if it was a small plant being put in.  :)
    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

    In my experience (only with Whirlwind and Queen Charlotte), they are slow to establish if you divide and move them, but they do take eventually.
