NEW GRASSES

I have just received some lovely grasses from Knoll Gardens. They came overnight and are perfect as always.
In the photo a grass that is new to me Calamagrostis Eldorado not easy to see but it has yellow/green variegated leaves 1.2m to 1.5m tall.
The ones in flower are Molinia Overdam up tp 70 cm and fairly upright.
Looking forward to including them in my new garden.

  • @Plantminded Thankyou for turning it. I did crop it or so I thought. Iv'e had some success with photos the right way up but still work in progress.
I am looking forward to growing this Calamagrostis hopefully more photos the right way up next year when it gets going.

  • It's a nice variety with the stripe @GardenerSuze.  I've just identified a Calamagrostis I bought last year now that it has flowered, C. brachytricha, impersonating Basil Brush!

  • @Plantminded I agree very Basil Brush. I have grown C brachytricha before tried it in a couple of places had limited success. I do think that the flowers are very impressive and stand out in the border.
