Aubretia pests

I have 2 aubretia in separate pots about 5 foot apart. One is looking very healthy the other looks to me like it's been eaten. We have had a lot of issues with box caterpillar in this area, myself included, just wondered if they specifically go for box hedges and also wondered if this particular aubretia would grow back.

    @Wheelie1 Box catarpillar only feeds on Box as far as I am aware.
    If not slugs or another caterpillar is more likely.
    I think your plant will recover but if all else fails you have another you could split.
    If you can also check the compost I doubt it is vine weevil as they eat the roots. A general look around for any clues is best.
