Acer Emerald Queen Advice

Planted this last winter - it’s a Norway maple (emerald queen). It has lost its central leader and seems to growing quite fast at top. Will it still keep a good symmetrical shape at top? Any advice?

Looks fine to me. I'd probably take off the branches that are appearing low down   :)

I'd take that cane away and fasten the stake properly to the trunk too. They get big and heavy quite quickly. They also get quite large, so I hope you have room for it to grow  :)
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
