Apologies @tigerburnie, I've just seen your reply. I'll take a wee look at your video too  :)
I was quite surprised when you mentioned growing them in a greenhouse though. It's not something I've ever considered doing, but I only have a small g'house, and the tomatoes go in there in May, so there wouldn't be room for sweet peas!
We get so many people asking about sw. peas failing though, and it usually comes down to them being over cossetted.  :)
I like experimenting, I sow early garden peas in the greenhouse too, and lettuce, carrots and spring onions amongst other things, most are a success..................luckily lol

I certainly sow my lettuce inside during spring @tigerburnie, and then it's the relentless problem of the slugs....
Glad your crops do well. I don't often do carrots, but I usually just sow outside - raised beds or large pots to deter the fly. I have more ornamentals than veg though. Too easily eaten here - I'm constantly having to fend off those slugs. The courgettes have been quite good though, and I used to do mange tout - I just sowed direct in pots though  :)

@smr993875FFW6hlbD - do you actually work for the Beechgrove programme in your role as, and I quote from your profile a "Digital Marketer and Content Marketing Specialist" ?
What do your own sweet peas look like at this time of year?

Pretty sure posts by ‘virtual entities’  as you described yourself, are regarded as Spam … particularly those who are involved in ‘digital marketing’ … so you @smr993875FFW6hlbD, my virtual pal, have been Flagged and Reported for the Mods to decide what to do with you.

I think they’ll regard any digital marketing on this forum as their province, not a free for all. 🙄

The general composition of the post was a real giveaway @Dovefromabove, hence my comment a few days ago.  ;)
The last thing we need is anyone 'virtual' offering dodgy, so called advice, based on no real experience.  :/

  • Absolutely @Fairygirl … at least this one has owned up to being ‘a virtual entity’ 😉
