Crocosmia lucifer

Hi I need a little help with my mature corms. Every article I read gives different advice! If I have corm necklace do I only keep the top corm or top 2 corms and seperate then replant? How much of the necklace do I keep? I don't have much space so clumps are not an option for me.
If anyone could give advice please?

@eyecatchercwd If you only have a small space I would keep the very best corms for planting in two's.
The older ones should go on to flower but in a small space replant the best.
I would plant them at a depth of 10cm and a few cm apart. They can fall over otherwise.
Some gardeners leave them and rarely split them but they can become congested and C Lucifer is very strong growing!
If you love the reds Crocosmia Short Red is a good choice.
I have worked as a Gardener for 24 years. My latest garden is a new build garden on heavy clay.
