Perovskia cuttings
Morning all,
I've been after some Perovskia for a little while so I took an opportunity yesterday to pilfer some cuttings whilst out and about.
I was going to treat them the same way as lavender (i.e. small heel, mostly stripped foliage, root hormone, well drained damp soil)...but if anyone has an alternative technique then I'd be grateful for their advice!
Cuttings are a mixture of soft and semi ripe.

I didn't use the heel method, just the usual cut below a node and remove most of the leaves using a 50/50 mix of perlite and mpc.
They all took.
Mine a the smaller version - P.Little Spire.
They're not really happy in my garden, but they do grow and in full flower now.
I'd guess the heel method would work just as well.
I can't remember if I put a plastic bag over the pot of cuttings - but I usually do.
You could always pilfer a few more and try both methods

Understood, I'll give that a go. I've got about a dozen so I may try a variety of methods to hedge my bets, although I've heard they're not too demanding as a cutting and take well, so fingers crossed.
