Yellow/brown stems on roses?

I got a James galway rose for
cheap and it had these brown/yellow stems but it seems to be putting on some good growth regardless. I cut some of the brown ones off but have left a yellowy one as
there is growth on there that looks ok to my untrained eye. Is there anything I need to do here or is it fine to let it keep going?
