Has anyone grown Hydrangea 'Burning Hot' ?
in Plants
Hi everyone,
I've been looking for a rose coloured hydrangea for a long time and came across 'Burning Hot' Hydrangea.
Has anyone grown this variety before? And if so, is it truly and completely burgundy coloured as advertised? There's not many photos of it on the websites selling it so I wanted to check before buying it.
Thanks!
Al

I also found an old thread on this forum, posted by a buyer because the plant was suffering from mildew etc, but there was no pic of the flowers as they'd already finished.
I found this supplier though

I reckon that colour will be nearer the mark, and would fit the name better too.
It might be worth contacting them about the accuracy of the colour in the pic
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
I'd never buy shrubs or trees from them. A good nursery or GC, always, for that sort of plant.
