Hydrangeas

I am new to hydrangeas, please can you let me know if the brown leaved one looks like under or over watering. I water most it most days in the pot

And the other picture a pink one in the ground and seems to also look like its suffering.

One gone brown in pot gets full sun, and pink one in ground gets sun and shade. My soil is alkaline.

Any advice gratefully received thanks 😊

They both look like varieties of H. Macrophylla. The flowers will start to fade naturally around now so I don’t think you should be too worried.  They prefer dappled shade so if you can relocate the one in full sun that will help.  I wouldn’t water every day apart from in extreme heat.  Check the top couple of cm of soil in the pot or ground with your finger and only water if they are dry. For the one in the pot, water until the water runs out of the bottom of the pot. Make sure the pot drains well.  Pot feet or similar will help.
    Wirral. Sandy, free draining soil.

My hydrangea flowers are starting to go buff-coloured and crispy at the edges.  They know autumn is on the way.

Re watering, feeling the leaves can give you a guide.  If these are soft and limp, water.  If these feel firm and are buoyant on their stems, no water required.
