Plant ID Conundrum
I planted a packet of Cytisus Batandieri (Pineapple broom) in the spring. I planted in 2 pots using different pre-chitting methods and was very pleased to see 2 potfuls of seedlings emerge because I’ve heard Pineapple Broom can be tricky to germinate. My joy was short lived however when I realised these were weeds and the compost must have been contaminated. I cropped the top off the seedlings and left the pots to give any PB a chance to germinate.
I got 2 seedlings but the trouble is I don’t know if they’re PB or not because my pals Picture this app says they’re Laburnum and because the compost was contaminated I’ve no way of telling. I’ve no experience of PB so I wondered if any of you could help?
