Leaf problem id- Judas tree

My 10 year old Judas tree flowers well and otherwise looks healthy but the leaves are being affected by something which I can’t identify - can anyone help please? It happened last year too and it has put on new growth this year so I’m not sure how serious a problem it is.

Could be Leaf spots, Mycosphaerella cercidicola, Phyllosticta. Symptoms appear as spots which are at first rusty brown with a raised border, but later develop a gray appearance on the upper surface while tissues remain brown on the underside of the leaf.
  • thanks - it’s a bit strange as it mostly seems to be starting at the leaf base and spreading along the veins which I haven’t seen in any Google images.
hopefully it won’t be fatal for the tree

If it is only on a few of the leaves then remove the damaged ones and dispose of them, not in the compost heap.
  • thank you - I’ll do that. There’s not too many at the moment
