What’s wrong with my marmande tomato?

I have some marmande tomatoes that have speckled brown patches on top around where the stem would be. The plant itself has no signs of blight and it looks like it just affects the skin of the fruit. Does anyone know what this is and if they are still safe to eat? Picture for reference

I would say very safe to eat. Now that looks more like stinky bug attack (white spot around 4'oclock on tom. But the rest of the "brown" looks sticky - feed spill?
Yorkshire, ex Italy and North East coast. Growing too old for it!
  • Hmmm maybe. The tomato itself isn’t sticky, the brown bits just feel the same as the rest of the skin.
