Noticed on GW last week (25/8/'23) Monty cutting down his unsightly Lovage plants. We have grown this very handy herb for many years, and whilst it can prove to be unsightly later in the year, we have noticed the many of the smaller birds. like finches, love the seed heads (sparrows do not seem as keen!). So if not in sight and tucked away somewhere in your garden, just leave 'em be.
