Nothing to worry about, some of mine have that every year, I just put it down to growing/weather conditions. Just cut off that bit and all will be fine.

Oh yes! My raspberries have hundreds of them, but never seen one on or near my tomatoes. Even those I planted outdoors right next to my raspberry patch.

I'm now pretty sure it's not sun damage these were not exposed to strong sun . I've peeled back the skin.
That I would not eat, and yes it does look more like the damage shield bugs make. This was abroad, but there were 100s if not 1000s and they loved toms (perhaps they prefer raspberry). They were common bugs, mostly green once adult, like this:-
