ID of unusual tree

Hello

Could anybody tell me what this tree is? Just seen it a few gardens over from my parents' whilst at a BBQ. Its about 20ft tall and has leaves like a beanstalk but bigger.

Any ideas? None of us have seen anything similar before.

It’s a Catalpa, commonly known as Indian Bean tree.
    Wirral. Sandy, free draining soil.

@Robert West There was a large one in a garden near to my old house. It's branches hung over a high wall. On a sunny day with a blue sky I would stand under it looking up at the amazing flowers and enjoying it's scent.

The beans are also interesting, they can grow to over 1ft and remain on the tree over winter. As winter progresses the beans get darker and look a little spooky. This time last year it looked terrible, even though it was a mature tree it struggled with the drought.
    Now recovered.
I have worked as a Gardener for 24 years. My latest garden is a new build garden on heavy clay.
