Every year I see this marvellous sight  … do you think it’s Eucryphia x Nymansensis?

It’s not possible to get a much closer view.

No idea but it looks stunning!

Could be - it can get very tall, and is narrow, and flowers about now (mine is finished, but only fairly recently). Is it not possible to go on a hunt for it...?

It’s in an area where several large back gardens converge … it’s also on a bit of a rise so getting closer (I have tried) doesn’t get me a better view unfortunately 😔

Looks like it from a distance or possible a Russian vine has made it's way up

I did wonder about that too @Perki … but when I zoom it seems not to have that ‘draped’ look.

The flowers look quite big, I think, which would tend toward the Eucryphia... Difficult to tell if that's just the impression rather than the reality. Do you know anyone with a really good camera, @Dovefromabove ?

Or a local group where you can ask who has the lovely tree in the photo? (Can you tell I'm getting invested in this  :D?)

💡 I could try asking on the local bit of the Next Door website …I’ll let you know if I get any helpful replies.
