Is it hard to propagate clematis and fushias.

No, both are easy, Fuchsias are one of the easiest plants to do. Probably easiest to look it up on U-tube, rather than me write a long winded account.
How can you lie there and think of England

It must be one of the easiest things in the world because I have great success with both!
My clems are montana and I take a pair of leaves on a short length of stem, scrape a wee bit of the stem at the planting end, dip it in rooting powder and stick it in a pot. I cut the leaves in half to lessen water loss.
Fuchsia I do with cuttings from a non-flowering stem, strip most of the leaves off, scrape a wee bit, into the powder and into the compost.
You'll find loads of youtube videos too but I'm old school and "larn from a book".
    Good luck.
  • I struggled trying my clematis for the first time this year, tried twice over the last 2 months and none took. I am going to try again next year but will try earlier in the season with younger shoots as I think the ones I took were too old. I had no trouble with all my other cuttings, just the clematis.
