I planted some marrow plants alongside some pumpkin plants. Is this some sort of hybrid?

What variety of pumpkin did you sow?

They certainly look like a type of winter squash so I’d let them ripen until the stalk turns brown and hard. Then harvest them by cutting the main stem either side of the brown stalk so it’s like a ‘T’ shaped handle … then store on newspaper or brown paper in a cool airy but frostfree place and use during the winter. Just check weekly for signs of small rot spots and use affected fruits first. I’ve had similar looking squash last in our garage until March. Soups, stews, curries, roasted chunks with the Sunday joint … marvellous. 😋
