Aruncus leaves brown spot

Hi. My Aruncus shrub has what looks like a disease like a rose bush.  The leaves have brown spots all over. 
What is the best way to deal with this? I've got rose clear spray? Do I need to cut it all back?

    They’re not shrubs,  just perennials,  they have finished flowering now,  mine have, they’ll soon be cut to the ground to rest for winter and come up again next Spring. 
    If the leaves are very tatty you can cut them down now. 
    Gardening on the wild, windy west side of Dartmoor.
